Sorry, I am usually late with these announcments but I can never find posts from anyone else

Anyway, new Xserve for Cluster Node available

Dual Processor
No Graphics Cards
1 Gigabit Ethernet
1 Drive Bay

Same price as Single Processor Xserve

I wonder thought if they should have initially made the Cluster Node a Uniprocessor system and hit $2499 instead.

Good point but I would have thought that people wanting to cluster would want most power from lowest cost per system. The extra processor is so cheap that they are getting near double performance for only a couple of hundred dollars. Take into consideration that these people buy lots of machines and dual processors could also be the difference between buying a second rack they are making a GREAT saving.
