This is from my brothers black macbook, replaced with a 1gb stick.. Want to see what i can get for it..

Nothing. I had two of these.:p I just sold mine to some guy, who thought he could use it as one 512 MB stick for $40:p My local Apple store don't take 'em and gave you rebate on RAM upgrades as Apple does.;)

Did you brother replace just one 256 stick with a 1 GB stick?

RAM in macbooks should be installed in matched pairs (e.g. 1GB & 1GB). If not, you'll be taking a significant performance hit.

yeah i just did a 1gb with the 256..
