There are a few, most of them are ww2 though. But the best in my opinion (and one of the oldest) is still Command and Conquer 1. In many ways I think it is the best of the series. I have all the c&c games but I still play it.

Falcon 3 and Falcon 4 (If you can find them), Warcraft/Starcraft, Risk, C&C, Metal of Honor, etc.
My suggestion would be to go to eBay and search for a PC war game, just put the word "mac" after the name. That always works better, then relying on our memories.

SSI's Panzer General, under os9.2.2 boot (I assume the problem would exist under Classic) locks up my 500mhz iceBook -- and it also does under WinXP. This thing is waaay to old for modern machinery.
You have been warned.

I think that you can add Soldier of Fortune to that list. I don't know which one it is in the series though.

both are great games. SC is better in my opinion but more people
like WC better. :o ;)

Starcraft is good, but the expansion wasn't spectacular. Warcraft 3 is all in all a more thorough game, though it did come out later. I assume if another Starcraft comes out, it will rival or exceed the level of WC3, but at this point, WC3 kicks it arse. IMHO.

In most people's opinions.
I just can't bring myself to like it though. SC is more strategic,
plus there is UMS (Use Map Settings) so it is constantly changing
and it is hard to get tired of. :) Probaby explains why I have
been playing it for the last ~4.5 years. :o ;) :D :D
