Well, I just upgraded this is July with the intentions of taking this to college with me as my main computer for gaming and everything. Turns out I bought my MacBook instead and would like to regain some of the loss from that.

Specs:

Sony Vaio RX860
2.4GHz Pentium 4
1GB PC2700 SDRAM (New in July)
256MB nVidia FX5500 (New in July)
160 GB, 7200 RPM HD (New in July)
Sony DVD+-RW (4x DVD-RW, 16x CD-RW)
46x CD-ROM
Floppy
Memory Stick Reader
Two (2) Internal USB 2.0 ports (rear), Two (2) USB 2.0 Ports (Front), One (1) FireWire 400 Port (rear), One (1) i.Link port (mini-firewire, Front), Four (4) USB 2.0 Ports (Rear), Two (2) FireWire 800 Ports (Rear)... all other Basic Ports

I would like $625 for this, OBO. I may be willing to trade straight up for an iBook G4 or a PowerBook G4 as well.

IM selling mine also, but only have a piece of helpful advice for you. DO NOT POSST THIS ON MACNN. I posted mine saying it played games well, and I was chewed out, disrespected and had false accusations said about me. Just sparing you from the ferocious computer freeks over there (no offense meant to even semi-decent macnn members)

oh, no don't worry. i didn't say it will "play games well".

here is what it played fine for me:

CS Source (100FPS)
Sim City 4 (With Hacked 1440x900 resolution)
The Sims 2
Star Trek: Empires At War Volume III (yes, i have played this :( )

Maybe it won't be the best Doom III playing machine with all the things turned up... but it seems to run "normal" games for "light gamers" just fine.

The computer is a decent machine, and the FX5500 is a decent chip. Its great for games, but some games you have to run at Low/Medium and low resolutions for it to be smoothly playable. You dont want to be trying to play Doom 3 at High resolution and 1024x768, because it would choke to death.

Yeah, some "hardcore games" like that would probably not be best for this... but if you have any other games that are not insanely intense, this would be a good computer.

Update: I am willing to trade for an iBook G4, or PowerBook G4

I believe this machine actually has USB 2.0.

Yes, it does according to many hits on Google.

Oh well then, thank you. The front ports must just have USB 1.1 speeds because of some driver issues then. I have to connect to the USB 2.0 card I installed to get the faster speeds.

Updated original post.

I've been given an offer to trade for a Titanium PowerBook with a broken display. I am not sure if I should go for it or not, since I don't know what the specs are.

I am still entertaining any other offers.
