baldur's gate help plz

i have had badurs gate 2 and trone of bhaal for a while now and i try to install it again but it dos't whant to do a full instaal any more so i can't install throne of bhaal and can't play the whole game . the disks have litle lines on them and now i don't now how i can fix that or ? some 1 has a way of helping me . plz let me now how to fix my problem thx a mil.

I had problems with BG2 installing right out of the retail box. I also would run into problems ripping scratched music cd's. My internal CDRW on my tower seemed too sensitive to scratches and any abnormalities on a disc. My problem was fixed using an external Lacie CDRW. I'm not sure why it worked, maybe it was better quality? Can you rip and burn a copy of BG2 disks? You may be able to install it that way.

I don't know what you mean by lines on your disc, (scratches?) but the only way to install BG2 is to do it manually. From MacPlay support:

For OS X-Only Systems That Do Not Have The OS 9 Option:

Run the OS X installer and select the Easy/Minimum install option.
After install has finished, insert Disc 2 and run the Install BG2 OS X app file.
From here, you are able to choose the "Maximum" or "Recommended" installations.
Insert the other two CDs once each CD has finished installing its game components.
It is VERY important that you select the same install option for each CD. If you choose "Maximum" install on CD 2, then you must select "Maximum" from the other 2 CDs.
Once the installation has finished, you are now able to play the game.


Then you should be able to install ToB.
