Hey- I'm really interested in buying a new LCD flat panel TV, but they're pretty expensive. I was thinking, if I were to buy an LCD monitor instead with composite and S-Video inputs, could I simply run the coaxial cable to my Tivo and then run composite cables from the Tivo to the LCD monitor? Doing this would save me a ton of money, since comparable LCD monitors are much cheaper than an LCD TV.

If the monitor has the inputs i see no reason as to why it would'nt work. BTW, what LCD monitors have those inputs? Formac or something?

Also the Formac TV thingy has a built in tuner and hey it might work with the TiVo.

The Dell UltraSharp 2000FP has S-Video and Composite. A few other LCD's do too, though most don't.

How much do those Dell displays cost?

Wouldn't an LCD make a bad TV since they have slower reactions?
