Audio "Popping" Sound

I have:
G4 500 tower (AGP)
Running 10.2.4
Yamaha Speakers two satillites and a sub

anyway some applications when opened or when I come out of sleep mode my speaker make a "popping" sound Its really annoying...

any suggestions

I noticed the same thing with mine. As far as coming out of sleep everythig is being booted back on (network connections, screen, and of course audio) so I don't think there is anything you can do about that one. I suspect you would get the same sound if you booted up your computer with the audio on. I don't know why you would get the sound from programs though. Which ones are giving you that response?

See this thread for more on this problem. Nearly everyone I know experiences it. It's not a hardware problem, it's an OS X bug.
