Animate icon in OSX [Archive]

Is there any way to animate the icons on the login screen for OSX? I have a really cool animated gif from The Matrix and I would like to use it.

Search versiontracker.com for an enhancement or add-on like you're looking for, but don't hold your breath. Macs have never been much on animated icons...

From what I know, the dock is the only place that icons can act animated, and that is would be part of the program running.
