When, if ever, was it discontinued? The official specs page says it wasn't. Is this true?

Another fascinating fact. It had an AMD processor... makes one wonder...

Apple no longer makes printers, I have a 16/600 PS, it is still a champion. That is probably why they discontinued them. They were too good and people never needed a new one. Still works with X.
I believe mine was made in 94 or 96. They didn't make them much longer after that.

Yeah, thats what I thought, until I saw the spec page. Strange since the page was made last March.

after subscribing to the support update mailings, they make some really odd-timed updates to random pages.

This is a message from the future.
Mabey I reading someting wrong here:

It was modified before it was created, just like me.
Apple had a lot of great printers. My parents just got rid of their working Image Writer I and IIs. They worked well and never seemed to have issues, less the sheet feeders. The early Style Writers worked on the Apple printer cartridges, BC01s and BC02 (or so I tried), and I have heard only a few poor words about Apple's laser printers.
