Hi,
I play WoW and it seems to me that many guilds don't have their vent servers setup to use the speex codec, which is required for people using ventrilo on their mac in order to hear and talk to people.
Anyone have a fix for me so that I can run vent on my mac such that it won't matter whatsoever which codec is being used by the vent host?
Example:
Buy virtual pc for mac, install some version of windows, install ventrilo on that and connect to vent server.
(would that work?)
buy an inexpensive pc(blech!!) and use it for vent.
also i have a pentium 2 laptop which i believe has simply a fried hard drive.
what's the cheapest option for replacing the hard drive on it?
can i share internet through my ethernet port over to the ethernet port on the pc laptop?
