Ok, I'm looking for a few specific things to round out my soon-to-be Powermac G4.

1) A DVD drive. I don't need a combo drive, or a superdrive, just something that'll read DVD's and work with my G4. This isn't a huge priority as I can still boot up in Target Disc mode to install OS X, but it'd be nice to have an optical drive.

2) This IS important. I still need a PCI IDE controller card. I want one that can handle at least four IDE drives (most of them can). I'm planning on stuffing this G4 full o' drives, so this is a must. An IDE + SATA one would be cool, but not necessary as I only have IDE drives.

I have a few things I wouldn't mind trading towards these things, but I can pay if necessary, too. I have a Rosewill RX30-U2 (http://rosewill.com/product/product.aspx?productId=79) 3.5" external drive enclosure (USB 2.0) and a Comcast-branded Motorola SB5120 Cable Modem (http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/products/sb5120/).

Let me know what ya got!

I'll trade you a DVD-ROM drive for the enclosure.

Enclosures arent worth more than 10-12 bucks to me, since thats the price I get them at Best Buy with my employee discount. :D

Just want to bump this once, since it got lost in the deluge of people selling off their iPods after the latest update.

I'm still looking for both these things!

i'm sure you already searching retail/ebay, but stumbled on this today when looking for parts; Acard ATA controller (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16816123110) at newegg even. seemed like a good deal, or at least less than the mac stores, and i can recommend Acard. never used this product, but everything else has been 100% good to go. best of luck with the hunt!

Hey, thanks, yeah, that's actually the cheapest I've seen so far! I started a thread in the Buying Tips are about it, and so far only one person has had experience with that brand, but it's been positive.

Still hoping someone might have a used card they'd let go for less, though!

I have an ACARD SATA card, and I love it. Good brand.
