that game was so ridiculously awesome.

yeah I would love a native os x port of that sweet game, but dunno about ipod...
... it would be too much "left right only", whereas the original mac title had left/right and up/down - so you can't depict it 100%
would still be nice though with a 2 player "ping-pong" game much like the shufflepuck

Tried it on 10.4.7 Intel Mac, the zip file extracts to a file...but OSX doesnt know what that file is to open it... :(

It's not a real OS X app -- it's a terminal application. You have to open terminal and cd to whatever folder the uncompressed file is in. Then type ./tuxpuck-8.2_MacOSX and hit return. However, the game is incorrectly linked to the libraries it uses and crashes. Here is my crash log:
