The Linkin Park Thread

With linkin park coming out with Meteora, what do you think about the band and their future. What's your favorite song? What is their best video? I want to know your opinion.;)

My opinion? I'll put it this way: I didn't think that anybody actually liked them until I came to this board.

I agree with guitargeek. I had no idea anybody actually listened to them, until people started posting about them on here.

I think Linkin Park is the only band I know, that doesn't have a one single song that is bad.
All songs, unreleased/rare, Hybrid Theory, Meteora.. they are all great!
All I want for them is that people from recording industry stop screwing up their work.
There is something special about them.. same way like there is something special about Apple computers. I follow them in the same way.

I think that I bought Hybrid Theory about a year ago. It's strange that I like it, but I do. Normally, I listen mostly to dance, r&b, and classical--anything but country.

i like what meteora has but i wish it was longer. 36.5 minutes isn't much for a standard cd. I liek hybrid theory and the remix album was alright but not great.

meteora is kinda good, I like it more than Hybrid Theory...
I really wanted to go and see them like actually in person at this place in los angeles but my schedule just wouldn't let me :(

I always liked their songs on the radio.
I finally bought their first CD and bought the Meteora CD/DVD SE set. Great music. These guys are pretty talented. I agree with others too in that their whole CD sounds good. Other artists may have 1-2 good songs and the rest is fluff. Linkin Park does pretty well.

I have both Hybrid Theory and Reanimation. A few weeks ago I had a sudden urge to start listening to some of the songs on Reanimation. My favorites from that album are By_Myslf, Wth>You, 4Gtn (well, it's really Frgt/10 but I changed it slightly) and 1Stp Klosr (that one is so rich I rarely listen to it).

As for Hybrid Theory, In The End has a much better video than a song. My favorites from that album are Papercut, Forgotten, Runaway and Pushing Me Away.

I've never heard someone describe 1stp Klosr as being 'rich' :D;).

if all you have heard is 'in the end', then yes, you are correct.
But I thought the same thing as you until I bought the Hybrid
Theory. It is such a good album. :)

see, people in macrumors do like linkin park. it think that pushing me away is good and in the end. paper cut. i also like the video with the gundams. about all linkin park songs are great:D

Linkin Park is a great band. It's very rare for a person to find a cd that they can listen to from the beginning to the end and still be able to play it a couple years later and still love it.

i love linkin park, ive been listening to it for a couple of weeks now and the songs are growing one me. i thought i would only like somewhere i belong, but then i had to think about how i only liked crawling on their other album. i love everysong besided the first one, just because its not even a song, but other than that a great band. there songs have good meanings to if i actually stop myself from screaming the words in my car and actually listen.

You know, I'm usually not a signature kinda guy, but that is too good to pass up. Consider yourself added.

Not to rain on your parade, but Linkin Park represents all that I hate in a band. They (and other similar bands) are the reason I refuse to listen to the radio.

But, then again, most people wouldn't like what I listen to, so whatever floats your boat.

i dont like rap to much either. i love this songs though. she is stooping low either, he has the number album in the country. but who cares, we all like different things. even if you dont like rap go download fat bitch by 50 cent, one of the funniest songs in the world to me, if you guys cant find it ill post it on my idisk.

You beat me to it. I am a strong anti-Linkin Park advocate, it's not personal or anything, it's just that they represent all that is unoriginal in rock/alt music scene.

Linkin Park is an OK band not my fav, as they pale in comparison to bands like: Inflames, Project 86, Pitchshifter, and Dry cell. All of which are AMAZING!! anyway...Linkin pop er Park has a few Great songs but to me they all sound very similar..not something that I love. Meh. I recomend that all of you check out the bands mentioned above if you liked Linkin Park and wanted some thing moderatly "harder" :D
