A month or so ago there were some universities selling the TiBooks really cheap. I remember there being ones with SuperDrive for about $2000.
Does anyone know if these sales are still going and/or where these sales were taking place?
If these sales aren't going on right now what's the best prices you have seen? I'm looking for a new 15" with at least a combo drive.

I did find this...
http://www.book.uci.edu/
I don't go to the school, but you can look.
1Ghz SuperDrive for $1999 if you buy AppleCare for $199
Also, check out the www.uobokstore.com/electronics
they have the 15" 867 for $1599, this offer ends April 30. A hint?

You might also consider the offer made by MacLover this week, if he's legit, he has very good prices, less than ADC.

seems to me this wouldn't be the best time to buy a tibook... they're nearing the end of their cycle, so there should be new PBs and (maybe more importantly for you) big price drops reasonably soon.

I don't see prices dropping more then the $1,000 off that some of these places have. I have considered that new product is coming out and we might still wait I'm just testing the waters. We've been waiting for 3 months now on a product that's due any day.

I don't see the 1GHz Superdrive for $1999 at the at the uci.edu store. It appears to be $2603 without Applecare when I go to that page.

sorry about that, a search must have taken me to an old page that had not been pulled.
I would love to find a $2000 15" SuperDrive and sell it in October or whenever the 2nd revision Aluminum is released.
