I had painted for my Design I class last autumn and it was somewhat enjoyable, but I doubt that I would do it as a major part of my life or work.

I draw 'dogs' alot, but people tell me they look like ticks... :(

I made one real quick. Am I an artist?

besides my pc repair business, i have a gardening/landscaping business...but that business requires me to paint sometimes and do general maintenance...indoor or out

i am not a pro in the painting department though and i think an mfa would help me do more even looking roller work;)

I got a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1999, with a concentration in Painting and Drawing. My favorite was drawing figure studies in pencil. It was an awesome 4 years of college. Since graduating, I haven't done much painting; it's mostly been Graphic Design for a theater company in NYC. Right now I'm getting more into digital video and filmmaking, so painting has sort of been put on hold for now. I do miss it, though. Every once in a while I do some drawing for the theater posters I design (see attached file). I think people should post their artwork on this thread, paintings or otherwise.

No, but your in college for a kind of artsy topic.;) If you don't want to post anything, don't. I don't want to be the bad guy here. I just like art. (Not that I'm good at it myself)

I really need to get some more stuff up (like drawings, paintings, etc) but I don't have the time. Oh well...

I miss painting. Used to paint a lot in High School, don't really have time now with al the film and animation.

One day...

I paint and sculpt.

I average about 3 shows or 40 paintings a year.

I'm currently in a painting and a sculpting class, required in my photography curriculum. I don't have any pictures of my paintings uploaded yet but if you want to see some of my older drawings and computer stuff, I've got it at dreamlance.artistrealm.org
