hey all, so I have the Nintendo DS, and I have several devices that use the same USB charger, would I be able to just plug in my PDA phone charger into the DS? I'm thinking USB is pretty standard, but let me know, this would make life easier carrying one charger.

Thank you

I believe the DS uses a proprietary connector for the charger, so, no you won't be able to use a standard USB charger.

The DS doesn't have a USB port, so no.

It does look very similar to a mini USB, but it won't work.

If you are after a USB to DS charger, I imported one on the cheap from one of the well known game import shops, and it works a treat. Very handy only needing to carry a small cable. rather than a plug around.

Do NOT use another charger with your DS Lite. Not even the charger from the original DS (of course, it wouldn't fit anyway).

Alternatively, there are some USB DS charger cables out there, and pretty cheap too. Link (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=usb+ds+lite&category0=)
