hi all,

i'm selling my 667MHz PowerBook. here are the specs:

Model: M8591X/A
Processor: 667MHz G4
Memory: 768MB RAM
Hard disk drive: 30GB
Optical drive: slot-loading Combo (DVD-ROM/CD-RW)
Display: 15.2-inch 1280x854 pixels
Video: ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 with 32MB of DDR RAM

airport ready.

i'm selling it with OS 9 and OS 10.2. it's in perfect condition still with all of the included software and cables as well.

i'm selling it for AUD$4500, but that's negotiable.

i'm going to put it up on e-bay.com.au or the Trading Post soon as well... so if you're interested send me a PM asap.

also, if you have any questions about it or would like to see photos i can arrange for that as well. :)

i've got 768MB of RAM now, but i'm thinking of selling the 256MB chip and getting another 512MB chip, putting the total to 1GB RAM. i can get the 512MB at wholesale prices. do you guys think this is a good move? would it help my TiBook to sell at a higher price?

i'll see if i can get the extra 512MB chip & sell it with 1GB RAM.

i'm not exactly sure how much AU$ 4500 is in USD, but i'm just guessing that it's around US$ 2700. after looking around at prices i think i might have to sell it a bit lower than that.

USD2,700 is about USD1,000 too much, at a minimum.

yeah, i kinda figured that out... but i'm still hoping that with 1GB of RAM i'll be able to get around AUD $3800 for it.

anyway, i'll see what happens.

Grokgod, you are selling the Ti 800 for 2300, but I can get a new from Apple 1Gig with a Superdrive for 2299? Now you tell me what AM I missing here? The reason cb911 is selling his for so much is beacuse he is overseas.

If you are willing to be realistic Grokgod, I would be interested in your tiBook. Yes I know what the current 1 gig goes for, and yes I know that they are supposed to be updated this month, so your powerBook will be two generations old, but I realize its in perfect condition.

email me at jamesk777@mac.com if you are interested.

Come on, Grokgod. Give the guy a break. We're a bit spoiled that we can get our macs cheaper than anywhere else in the world (which of course isn't cheap within itself...).

I am sorry, i wasnt trying to make his day a bad one. I thought that if he was trying to sell it to soemone in america then that would be a bit over priced.

But i can see the overseas cost is higher.

I was asking in all honesty not to deride him in any way.

I wasn't trying to yell at you or anything. It's just that I feel for those guys overseas. It makes me complain less about how much I have ot pay in here in the States.

Also, Grokgod, let me know how much you sell your Tibook 800 for. I have that model and am looking to upgrade to the 17 (that thing is sweet!!!)
