Looks like a tight fit for the iPod, so no new form factor yet.

Just slip in the 40 GB drive and charge my card.

It says easy access side entry laptop compartment so it already has a laptop in mind.

Anyone know where this ad came from, and when it is going to be on sale?

No, this thing only uses the headphone socket of the iPod. It's a standard socket which won't change.
And this backpack is made by Burton and Apple together. Apple knows what they are doing.

What I would like to see next is an in-car iPod adaptor system that has the iPod controls on the steering wheel. :)
