Hey all,
I want to buy a cube since it's the last computer I've lusted for that I don't have. It can have any configuration, it just have to work. I'll be looking to pay in between $150-250 based on configuration. Please let me know.

There are some threads for Cubes around here.

I saw them. The most interesting one is based in the UK which would be too expensive for me. Any other options would be great.

I've always wanted a cube. They seem so interesting, but they're getting rare.
Good luck getting one!

You're gonna have a tough time getting one at that price. Score if you do though! :D

I would sell you mine, but i love the thing. I wish Apple would make another version of this desktop, its my favorite out of all their computers. I think i am going to be keeping my for a while, as i would like to eventually turn it into a G4 CubeQuarium (http://home.comcast.net/~jleblanc77/cube/).
I wish i could just but the Acrylic outer casing somewhere, as it would look cool sitting on my desk.

Thanks for the concern guys, i am not doing it any day soon, or even sure if i would do it. It looks complicated.
Besides that, i won't be doing anything to it till it is no longer supported, or works.

Understandable. It's still a gorgeous machine that you can get a lot of use out of.

OMG LWTF TISC!
(oh my gosh) (Like What the *******?) (That is so cool!)
If you're wondering, I checked the link.
Very nice whoever did that, I just hope that they had another Cube Casing for the parts they removed!

I just hope they didn't destroy a perfectly working cube to do that. It would bring tears to my eyes.

They posted about it but I don't know if it was faulty or something.
I'll check.

The Cube has an AGP slot and uses a standard 3.5" ATA hard drive. The Mini, on the otherhand, uses a laptop hard drive (more expensive and less capacity) and the non-upgradeable Intel integrated graphics. The Mini is definitely not a Cube replacement.

Exactly. I'd be all over the mini if it allowed me to put in a large hard drive and have the option to add a better processor and video card whenever I wanted.

Thanks. I don't really need a cube anymore. I just need ram for a powermac g4. I ended up buying a sawtooth for $85 including shipping. I'll hold off on my dream cube till later.

Not a bad choice. My first PowerMac was a G3, and even though it lasted for about a year for me [running intensive graphics on a G3, was ok but not the greatest], but then i bought a used Dual G4 450 off of a graphic designer on ebay.
Ever since then, i have recommended to people to Dual processors if possible. It never hurts to have two or more processors. Anyway, i am sure whatever you got will do you fine.
If you are looking for RAM i would check out Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/), or MacSales [OWC] (http://www.macsales.com/).
Good Luck

Just adding a single PCI-e 16 graphics slot for variety of graphics cards would be perfect. I know they'd have to change the box a bit to make that all fit, but I think that it could still be a very inexpensive, small footprint type machine. I have a fanless 7600 card (massive copper heat pipe) that would be perfect without adding fan noise or the need for airpath considerations. They could just have a "hotpad" out of one side of the box to wick out the heat.
