This iMac was bought and Configured to Own January 31, 2005.
Specs:
1.8Ghz G5 Processor

250GB SATA HD
1Gb PC3200 DDR400
nVidia GeForce FX5200
Built in Airport Extreme
Apple Pro Keyboard

Let me know what the reasonable price for this machine would be. Thanks

Realistically, probably around $630-650, maybe $700 at tops. If you could get anywhere around this price, I'd take it. Value of G5 cpu's has really gone down considering they are two generations ago now (Intel Core Duo, Core 2 Duo).

$800 where? I haven't seen one with those specs go for that high on eBay in quite a while (unless there was like an iPod included or something)

Tell him $700 and he has a deal, if not haggle for $675, but I still think you'd be getting a pretty good deal. On eBay, how are you receiving payment? If it's Paypal, you'll lose out on some money too with the transaction costs, in addition to having to ship it and whatnot. I'd just unload it locally for cash, much less chance for bad things to happen, just my opinion though.

well, that is a rev. B 17" G5. I just bought a 17" core duo iMac for $750. You do have more RAM and HD space (mine had 512 and 160), but still. IMO $650.

well... i have it listed for $600... and $55 for shipping.... I would assume this box would cost about 45 shipped maybe? I never shipped an iMac before. I checked out the 3% paypal... i don't recall how much ebay takes out with the final value fees nowadays.... but assuming it sells for 650 + 55 shipping... how much would i lose out? Is it really the best way to sell it..locally?

Yes, I think that it would be best if you could sell it locally for the $650 cash. :)
