View Full Version : Dell XPS 400 + 24" lcd 3gb 150gb 10krpm Media Center

I just bought for school a brand new Dell Media Center Desktop with a tv tuner + 24inch lcd. I paid about $2200 after tax etc. What I would rather use for class is a laptop.

Here are the specs of the desktop:

1Yr Ltd Warranty, 1Yr At-Home Service, and 1Yr HW Warranty Support
Dell XPS 400
2.8 Ghz dual core
3gb dual channel ram (was a $250 upgrade option from 1gb ram I upgraded using crucial ddr2 sticks)
150gb 10,000rpm WD raptor hard drive (was a $300 upgrade option) This drive is much faster than any standard computer hard drive.
Ati X800XL AIW video card (come with remote)
Latest NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder software
Windows XP Media Center
Dell 2405fpw 24inch LCD
16 dvd+/-rw
16X dvd
Floppy drive

The machine is in as new condition!

I am looking for around $1700 cash/local pickup, but I am willing to negotiate :)

What is another good forum to list this machine?

My eBay ID is DavidCL2, but I would rather sell for local pickup since I don't have the original boxs anymore so I would preffer to list for sale to only the tri-state area.

I was just looking to purchase a DELL system and the 24" Monitor. I would have taken this! However, they have the XPS 410 out now with the Core 2 Duo.

True, but this is easily upgradable to the core 2 duo (the motherboard supports it). Also the desktop plus upgrades alone cost almost as much as my asking price, the LCD is sorta like free ;-)

Depends, can you pickup + pay in cash, or would I have to ship?

Shipping will be extremely expensive as I do not have the original box anymore so I would need to have mailbox etc, package + ship the screen (probably a good $30-$40 packing + material fee).
