Friend of mine's going to a 20-day trip from here in the USA to France, Italy and Malta or something and wants to buy a first Mac and decided on a clamshell. Req. are:

At least a 6GB HD
256+ RAM
CDRW/DVD (recommended but CDROM will be OK)
300MHz+ processor
Works fine and has a power adapter

He has $180 to spend at the moment, so that's the highest he'd go for.

LMK!

I just got a clamshell from this fellow...
Go on AIM and send a message to the user "ibookseller." He's really responsible and is a highly recommended seller.

Don't have AIM. You think you could see what's he got and tell me? Then I'll email him about it. How much did you get for yours and what are the specs?

He does Graphite Clamshells (466 mHz model) for $213 shipped.
I had mine upgraded to 466/DVD/Tiger/20 GB HD/576 MB RAM with 4 hr battery and Tiger install DVD included for $423 shipped. A friend was really impressed with this computer and he immediately traded me a Snow iBook for it (see my siggy.)

As for the AIM thing, he's a MacNN user w/ the username da2005pizimp. I'm not sure if he's a MacRumors user.

ok, i was just lowballed and it didn't feel too good, so please everyone i sell them from 215 and up depending on what you want installed. if you want something lower i may go lower but not more than 20 bucks and only if your cool, don't go through my ebay auctions and find one that sold lower than expected and try to get me to sell it at that price, you should have been bidding on it if you wanted for that price. and one last thing remember there is a BIG difference between the graphite 366mhz that you see on ebay all the time for under 130 and the 466mhz ones that i have. sorry i had to get that off my chest.

OK... Um just start your own thread. This is a thread for buying a clamshell, not posting your restrictions.

Go elsewhere with that paragraph :)

I'm looking into getting one from him for my friend before he leaves for Europe. I would let him borrow my PB but I wouldn't last 20 full days w/o it.
