Not. (just kidding)
The funny thing is, that episode just reinforced the reasons I chose to quit WoW for the time being.

There are only 50 states - and Puerto Rico, which is not a state but a territory of the US.

the reasons I believe the show was speaking of are as follows:
character became such a high level Admins (GMs) couldnt kill him.
impossible, there is a level cap and GMs can become any level up to 999 instantly.
no way to delete him from the server
Blizzard owns your account, they can and will
being able to kill lower level people at will
not possible even on PvP servers in a "home" area, which the SP kids were in the human newb area
you can kill tons of low level boars to gain exp
impossible, blizz thought of that and makes it so you cant gain xp on stuff that isnt within a certain level higher or lower than yours
that every character in WoW was killed
there are at least 20 servers in the US alone not one big one for all 9 million players, and characters cant do anything with those not on their server. if something like a griefer came along, you could leave the server if you wanted.
I only played during the beta, and yet I know all this. I am such a dork.

And Guam, and Marianas, and I'm sure there are others, we got out of Panama just a few years ago. Quite a number of colonies for a democracy, no?

he could have had one of those disguises. they make horde look like alliance and alliance like the horde.

yeah you stop gaining exp from them after level 11.
either way, it was just a show. they weren't going for correctness.
not to mention that for the sword of one thousand truths to be added to the game, everyone would need to update.

Hey, and once Stan's dad wielded the sword, it would have been soulbound.
But no matter... the so-called inaccuracies were either slight simplifications (i.e., you can grind beasts at significantly lower levels than you to gain XP), or "science fiction" devices needed to create the premise for the plot.

The show was dead on in capturing the sense of the game. At least one of the writers is clearly a player.

why? there are plenty of weapons that aren't soulbound. although i suppose it was unique so it probably would have been but meh it was one kick ass looking sword.

He had it in his hand and was WIELDING it. You could see him waving it around. That binds it to you. In a "real" game, he would have just carried a BOE in his inventory.

The sword of 1000 truths is in the game, it's called the hungering cold, and it drops off of Kel'thuzad, who is currently the hardest boss in the game and has only been killed by few guilds. The sword looks the same graphically, but the stats are different:

Jimmi I am a little suprised you don't know what South Park is. You are the right age group for the show and I thought it was a world wide thing? The brits seem to know all about the Tom Cruise-Trapped in a Closet episode.
If you haven't seen it before, watch some :D its the stupidest/funniest show on tv

still says "first episode of the new season" on that link.
i dont understand, do people use the term "season" to mean two different things?
In tv-speak I understand a SEASON to mean the entire collection of episodes for a calendar year. South Park season 10 started in 2006, they ran 7 eps or so before the summer hiatus.
This WoW episode, along with last nights 9/11 conspiracy ep, constitute the continuation of Season 10.
Though, I can see how "Season" could mean the "tv-season" as in the Fall Season vs the Spring and Summer tv-seasons.
But, I know alot of places saying that there has only been 2 episodes in season 10.
wrong.

I'm not a big fan of South Park, but after reading this thread (up through yesterday at ~3:30 or so) I had to download this episode. It was really funny, and it's probably a good thing that I never did get in to MMORPG's, especially WoW.
Funniest line ever:
"This could mean the end of the world... of warcraft." :D
"Do you have an account?" "No, I don't play World of Warcraft." :)

Not all items are soulbound. While this item would most likely have been soul bound due to the high level of the item, there are plenty of low level items that you can equip, use, then resell or transfer to another player at a later time. For instance... http://thottbot.com/?i=1525
Also it was even more fictitious than WoW is sooo... they can do whatever they want... :) Mainly pointing out that in game there are indeed weapons that are never soulbound.
"Do you have an account?" "No, I don't play World of Warcraft." :)
Didn't he say "I have a life" or something like that instead of "No, I don't play World of Warcraft"? No matter I guess.

Despite the creative license they took with some of the aspects of the game, it didn't take away from the fact that the episode was brilliantly written and executed. I've seen it three times and I laugh harder every time I see it.
You missed the biggest oversight of all though. If this one character did exist, how long would it take for the LFG or General channels to buzz with calls to every player to descend on this guy? The battle would look something like running into the chapel in Scarlet Monastery and aggroing the entire thing on yourself.
