Like the title says it is only to test the waters of what people have.
Basically this is going to be used to run a projector for our church power point presentations during the service. Nothing fancy needed and preferable the cheaper the better.
The reason i am looking for a mini of cube is for the space requirement. Ideally i would like to mount it under the table and have as little cable and stuff showing as possible.
If you have anything that is not terribly expensive(i my be buying this with my own money) please PM me.

I think you'd have better luck with a powerpc mini then a cube because people tend to hold on to their cubes more. Also, the mini would be smaller and more easily placed in certain areas.

I agree on all points but i am not sure of the price difference and that is why i asked about both (plus i might be able to scarf the cube away when they upgrade stuff in a year or so).

All I can tell you is from what I have seen on ebay is Mac mini's are quite a bit cheaper than cubes and faster/newer too.

yep, most cubes have been relegated to collectors pieces, so very few people who have them are willing to let them go, at least not for prices close to what you can get a ppc mini for, in most cases.
Although, for a short time a while back, they were going for only ~$250-350 on ebay.....so you never know if or when you might score a deal :D

You're likely to pay as much for a Cube as a low-end mini, perhaps even more. A mini is a much better choice, IMO, as it supports newer technologies (airport extreme, bluetooth, DDR RAM) and is much faster than a stock Cube. Plus, the mini is considerably smaller.

i agree. from the stuff i have been finding on ebay it seems like the low end mini is going to be cheaper.
Now i just have to find one for a good price.
