What's next in the line of wireless broadband connectivity for Apple? Will we be seeing 802.16 products in the future, with 70 Mbps shared bandwidth for 60 users with 31 miles of range? Will Apple produce base stations for this? The idea of getting on the net anywhere in any industrialized city for free, instantly, brings a big smile to my face. :D

Thoughts?

at this point it doesn't matter for anything besides subnet data transfers. it's not like your web browsing experience will be faster. besides, 802.11g doesn't get all 54 used anyhow... about 25 or so max in nearly all circumstances.

and it isn't apple that is coming up with these new standards... that would be the IEEE >> www.ieee.org ;)
