I have up for grabs a 1 GHz Sonnet G4 CPU, that fits into an AGP G4 Powermac.
When I installed and turned it on, a resistor caught on fire.
I dont know if it will work or not anymore, and I'm not about to try to install it into my Digital Audio G4 to find out.
Probably can be repaired, as that was the only thing that toasted.
Note, this is sold AS-IS with no guarantees what-so-ever.
Make offers/trade offers. Damn thing retails for 200 or so new, and about 175 used. I'm pretty sure if you replace the resistor, all will be well.
Oh, dont bother trying to get Sonnet to do anything about it, they're a bunch of *******s. They REFUSE to do anything about it, and basically said I was SOL.
This thing toasted a Gigabit Ethernet G4 Powermac too. -.- That machines mobo is up for grabs too, same rules apply.
