Canon 28-135mm IS $200

I just talked to hime a little while ago and he said he would take all the suff I had listed earlier minus the Canon 28-135IS. It is almost new and I will have some pics shortly. I am selling it for $200 or best offer but I want to sell it ASAP.

After many years of using my canon equipment I have decided to jump ship to Leica. Anyway here is a list of equipment I have. A friend has expressed interest in buying it because he knows I am anal about keeping my stuff in perfect condition since I bought it. I was wondering about these prices. The stuff at the bottom I would just throw in along with my bag.

Canon 10D w/Vertical Battery Grip $500
Canon Speedlight 580EX $375
Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro $375
Canon 28mm 2.8 $50
Canon 28-135mm IS $200
2 batteries
2 GB CF
4 GB CF
various filters for all lenses

I just shelled out $540 for a 10d with the battery grip on ebay. Link to exact auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300039773745&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:11). Either way, $500 for the 10d is defiitely a good mid-range price, though if you are looking to make the most, you can certainly go more and it would still sell.

-As for the 28mm that ChrisBrightwell has claimed (curse you! :D ) $50 is an amazing price. after perusing some, the starting bid is about average of about $110 and the bidding is as high as $175. The lowest that this has sold for recently is $70. (For the record, if neither of them want it, i'll take it)

-Same as before on the 28-135, most definitely lower than the average price, great deal on that.

-Batteries each go for as little as $5 after market, genuine Canons start at about $20 a piece.

-the 2gb CF card is about $40 new and the 4gb is about $70 new these days, so i'd just adjust depending on how old they are.

-I don't deal with flashes at all, so i couldn't tell you a fair price on those, and the 100mm is a great price again.

All in all, you have awesome prices that are under the current market value. If your friend does get all of this, he is getting a steal. I've been looking to get a 10d for a couple of weeks now, and was thinking about adding a lens or so to my collection, so i've been trying to follow the prices as best i could.
i didn't get te best deal i could on my 10d, but i was rush at buying it becuase i found out i'm going to be an uncle sooner than expected, and needed to get one ASAP. (i have my 300D, but why not shoot it on better hardware?)
Either way, like i said, if you go for these prices, your friend should know that I highly he could find a better deal anywhere else, esspically not for the amount of equiptment that you are offering.

If he doesn't want any part of anything you are offering, be sure to post it up on here! Hope that helps some.

The 10D is a bit low, the 580 might be a bit high, but the rest are under market value. PM or email me if you need a buyer for all but the 10D (shooting 1 series now...no looking back once you make the jump!)

I also have the offshoe cord for the flash, cable release, eyepeice extender, and I only bought the flash after christmas and have used it a total of 2 times. The 28-135 IS I bought right before I went to india last christmas and ended not using it at all because i preferred my 100mm for general purpose and i had the 28 2.8 if i wanted wide angle

Do you have an idea of the shutter count on the 10d? Would you be interested in selling just the body (sans battery grip)?

The shutter count is in the neighborhood of 4500-5000... sadly I did not keep good track of the battery door that needs to be removed to install the grip. I had it till about over a year ago when I moved and I have a suspicion it got lost in the move

I wouldn't need it as I have a D30 with grip already. I was planning on moving my current grip over to the 10d and converting the D30 to infrared. I'm fairly interested. I've been looking around the FM forums for the past few weeks but I don't have any feedback over there and was hesitant to buy from a forum i'm not as familiar with.

What would you want for the 10d without grip (if you even want to do that... if not I understand) paypalled and shipped to 27605 (raleigh, NC)?

I call 3rd dibs on that 28 lens!
(I know I'm not going to get it, but gotta try...)

Also, I am very interested in the 28-135...will PM you.

BTW- are you getting an M8? Early reports are quite good. I am actually very interested in getting a film Leica at some point, would love to play around with a Noctilux (but of course probably never will due to cost...)

I would love to have an M8 but I think I will go the route of the D-Lux3 system
