Hi all!

Is there a way to do wireless printing with my current setup? Here is it:

iBook 600 running OS X 10.2.5
Epson C60 printer w/USB connection
Terayon cable modem w/USB out port
Linksys wireless DSL/cable router

If not, what would I need to do wireless printing? Thanks!

you only need one thread about this topic any more than one will annoy people rather than inspire them to help.

Handily, I just plug my HP printer into my Airport Extreme base station :)

There is a device (probably a lot more than one) that will act as a print server that you can plug into your modem. All it does is host the printer when you plug it in.

Since you have a wireless router already, all you need to do is get something called a USB Network Bridge. This is about $60 at Best Buy.

This device plugs into your printer through USB and it wirelessly connects to your wireless router.

That's all you need and you can put the printer anywhere.

You don't have to "just plug my... printer into my... base station", since you want it to be wireless, this misses the point.

Take Care,

That last thing directed at me? I plug the printer into my base station and I print wirelessly from my laptop.

Well, not exactly. I was just trying to point out that if it was wired into the base station, then it would have to be in the same general location as the base station. Thereby defeating the purpose of the printer being "wireless".

It is my understanding that he wanted the printer to be wireless. I could be missing the point. :(

Again, it wasn't a dig or anything like that. Sorry if it came across that way.:(

Take care,

I think I wasn't clear on what I needed, therefore the confucion. I don 't mind if the printer has to be plugged into something else (like the wireless router), what I don't want is to have to plug my printer to my computer.

Also, sorry about the multiple postings on different forums...wasn't familiar with the rules :(
