Okay so Ive been getting many problems with my imac its a g4 flower pot model with the moveable flat screen its over 3 yrs old, my problems are...
1. on the top left of the screen the pixels i want to say dance around the screen its almost like when you turn on your vacuum or blow dryer and the tv screen gets interference. Basically I don't want my screen to burn out but I feel that is what is going to happen.
2. The dvd drive doesnt work anymore. It just ejects dvds. Cd's load fine but dvds are ejected. Everything is set in the systems preferences to load a dvd.
It seems im better off getting a new imac which i want to do. I do have an apple care plan that was never registered and I bought my computer from a reseller and the purchase date was never recorded so I want to put the date of purchase for the computer a year or so back so I can hopefully get these problems fixed under the plan.
Problem is, I have files that date way back which exceed the care plan if i register it. How can I erase data or reformat my computer so It seems that I just bought 2 years ago?
