I always get NAT errors on Azureus so I did some research on how to fix this. The initial solution I found was to port forward but since I am at a college I do not have access to the router. So then I did some research on NAT errors on college networks and found info on tunneling but it involved logging into root and typing commands in, which sounds dangerous to me, a person with no programming experience or knowledge. Anyone know of any basic guides or is there anyone who could walk me through quick how to do it?

thanks!

Basically, doing so would involve hacking into the network server of your university, and doing so would be detectable by them. Basically, you'll be kicked out of the university and/or fined heavily for doing so. My university also watches all network traffic, so using azureus would alert them to lots of download traffic to your network port and they would most likely shut off your network port at least.

Nothing involved hacking it just involved setting up azureus to look like it was sending info to a web server.

But you're 1) attempting to circumvent their security, and 2) trying to commit some type of fraud in making a P2P appear like something more innocuous. I think you're unlikely to find too much help here as the MR mods and admins aren't too keen on knowingly helping you circumvent security restrictions, be they right or wrong.
