I'm first in line as we right this. Anyone SERIOUSLY interested PM me. Timing may be a little slow as I'll have to send the lappy home for recharging over the next or so.

Hey,
Good luck with selling your system. Just wanted to let everyone know that compared to ebay this is a steal. Just saw one go for $9100US. Most go for around the $2000 mark.

This is dirt cheap!!!! I have been watching these go for around 2000 on ebay for the past week. If you are wanting one of these and can't seem to get one you might want to jump on this!!!

Wow, despite my personal feeling son marking up game systems like this, it is certainly cheaper than what most go for on Ebay...
Pity the fool who pays 2-3k for a system that I will wait till it's perfected and for $250 down the road ;)
Good luck on the sale! Its certainly a neat system. Now if only the Wii could come out the same day so I can go fishing in Zelda ^^

It'll be awhile before that happens. The blu-ray disc player inside the PS3 sells for $1,000-1,200 right now, so I guess the $600 PS3 can actually be seen as quite a good deal ATM.

Is it true that on the NEW PS3 you can't play any PS games on it. I heard it on the radio this morning that in Japan it won't work.

No, PS3 is backwards compatible with all PS1 and PS2 games, unlike the Xbox 360, which has emulation for only a handful of Xbox games. That's a nice little tidbit about the PS3...
Edit: Sorry, the info I read from the review of the PS3 on Cnet said that you could do it...perhaps that wasn't accurate?

No, actually reports are coming out of Japan that the PS3 is not. However, Sony has said they're working on patches to fix this, but won't guarantee backwards compatibility with all old titles.. at least not yet. link (http://blog.wired.com/games/2006/11/ps3_backwards_c.html).

I'll go $1,100
let the bidding begin?
macdaddy121
Nov 15, 2006, 08:28 PM
If the bidding begins this thing will go way over 1200 because they are going over 1200 on ebay by ALOT.
Some one should just pay the 1200 and get a heck of a deal

I already offered to this morning, barring that I talk to my fiance tonight. Talked and then sent a PM to mlr saying I'd take it. Granted, I wouldn't be surprised if someone offered over the $1200, in which case I will bow right out.

Well, if you were the first then he should honor the 1200 he asked for. But he is waiting in a line right now so, he's probably busy.

Well, sure. He *probably* should, but I don't think I could hold it against him if he was offered more and decided to go with that.

wait how long is he planning on waiting in line. isn't there like 12 year old kids for stuff like this. don't ppl have work/school to atend? i remember when the 360 came out i thought i would never want one, then one day in november i walked into ebgames and there was one in stock so i bought it instead of a ipod video, only to get the ipod that month on ebay for cheap. but i dunno IF I* could wait in line for more than an hour for a system. All the power to ya. and if your giving to charity or to get outta debt even more so.

well if he did, he's lucky he got it out of his hands when he did.. because the spike has already come down, and the premiums are steady at $1200 on eBay.. i imagine that price will keep coming down, too, if Sony has regular shipments
