Sunday is the US release day for the Wii. A few stores are doing midnight sales but overall i dont expect getting a Wii to be too difficult. My local GameStop is getting 60 units, with 75 more by Friday. Wal-Mart is supposedly getting 100 units. The people that overpay on ebay or camp out are just plain foolish. then again a fool and his money...

100! Whoot! I've heard that sooo many times, it must be true.

But hey, 6 hours early isn't too bad is it? ;)

I'm thinking about selling my Wii preorder for $500 on eBay and going to Wal-Mart an hour before opening :D

I really hope that I can get one on launch... I think I've mentally hyped this thing up more than Nintendo has (I know...I'm a dork, but we all are)

75 more by next friday ay? So if the second shipments are arriving that quickly it shouldn't be a problem picking one up!

I'll go to Toys R Us at Midnight just in case....maybe the Wal-Mart

Ok since you asked this is most likely what I am going to do... My friend and I are standing in line together, so as soon as we by our Wii's and games and probably extra Wii-motes, we will probably drive exceptionally fast back to my house where we have set up two tv's next to each other so we can each experience our individual joy and excitment. Any who that is my story and I hope it comes true...meaning we better get our Wii's.

i really want a wii but really should not spend the money right now. if there were none left then I won't be able to be irresponsible.

In the thread "Wii Pre-Orders", the OP said their we got delievered today, a day early!

Quite surprised today when my Wii preorder turned into a Wii order, when DHL delivered it at 12 PM EST. Breaking street date and all...good on Amazon! Haven't even hooked it up yet (just admiring the bits). Wiimote is small but quite comfortable. Sensor ball is much smaller (8"-10"?) than I thought. Console is bigger than 3 DVD cases, about the size of the old (2x) Apple external CD-ROM drives - but still not that big. Oddly enough, it's a bit of an anticlimax as I don't have any extra controllers (to hook wife on Wii Sports) and am not sure if I can get them; and, VC/online services apparently not up until tomorrow (haven't tried). Still - damn!

^^ So jealous right now.

Someone please give me a good reason to buy it tommorow morning!!!! I've been going back and forth for over a week, and I just want to make sure I dont get caught up in all the hype!!! (Last time that happend I got an xbox 360, and been happy ever since). Over the past 2 weeks ive really been looking into it, and I'm real excited about it. I really dont got the money, but I can come up with it if I really want too. I got to play excite truck and it was alot of fun. I've never really played zelda, but Im a big gamer so I'm sure I'll like it. I already got an xbox 360, but I'm sure this is a totally different experience.
