I'm selling my iPods.

1 - Apple 20GB 4th Gen iPod
1 - Apple/HP 40GB th Gen iPod (with new hard drive)

Both work great - the 40GB can play non-stop for 13.5 hours, and the 20GB can play for about 11 hours. Both are pretty clean. Normal scuffs on the back, faces are clean. The 20GB has a scuff on the select button.

Asking $100 for the 40 and $75 for the 20, or $150 for both.

Deal gone bad!

This guy bought both, for $150 + $15 shipping to Canada.
With the 40GB going for 20% more than the 20GB on eBay
that puts the value of the 40G at about $85 and the 20GB
at about $65.

I shipped two working iPods, both with music on them. (20G on one and 34G on the other.) He waited 7 days to tell me there was a problem.

He's claiming that the 40GB is now dead.
It was perfect when I shipped it. (I had just updated the firmware and loaded my library on it)

He's demanding that I refund him $100, and he doesn't want the hastle of shipping it (he's in Canada, I'm in the USA)

I don't know if FedEx broke it - it's too late, he waited 6~7 days!
I can't prove that he broke it.
I can't prove that it worked. Though my eBay rating and feedback
shows that I've never sold a defective item.

I offered him $85 as a refund (the amount that he paid for it). He again demanded $100.

What should I do?
Blow him off?
give in?
