I am going to try this one more time. The price has been dropped to $40 shipped (firm).

I am selling my Nintendo GameCube.

I bought this refurbished GameCube back in late July from GameStop (EB Games) and I chose to buy the 1 year warranty. It is platinum and includes the standard AV cables, power cable and brick and one standard wired platinum controller and it will be packed in the original box (plain cardboard not the retail Nintendo box).

I checked with GameStop to make sure that the warranty is transferable and they said that it is as long as the owner has the original receipt. So, the original receipt is being included. The warranty expires on July 26th, 2007.

I am looking for $40 shipped for the system. To buy a refurbished system today would cost you between $59-$69 + tax and most places will give you at most a 90 day warranty if any. This one has 6 months left on the warranty.

The warranty is provided through EB Games/GameStop. If anything goes wrong with the system, they will replace it. There is absolutly nothing wrong with this system, however. It has been used for probably 60 hours (most of that was spent playing Paper Mario). It is in perfect working condition and was used 100% in a smoke free environment.

id jump on this, as im a moddin fool, but the 3 times ive ever used a GC (waaaaay back in da day) i hated the controller setup.

though I know there are plenty of good games for the GC, but is it actually that great of a controller?

This comes from a person who likes the XBOX small controller, the Dreamcast if it was a little smaller. SNES if it was a tad thicker, and the PS2 dualshock if it wasnt so crablike to hold...

The GC controller is the best standard controller ever. From the comfortable grip to the intuitive button layout, the analog triggers and the very high quality construction.

If the Wavebird had had rumble it would have been pretty much perfect, but between the two (standard and wireless GC controllers) it gets pretty close to it.

Check out mod-chip.com (http://www.mod-chip.com/index-cart-us.php?go=en/select_nintendo.htm). There are a few different mods available for the GameCube but not nearly as much as there are for the XBOX or PS2.

There is an adapter to let you use PS2 controllers with your GameCube.

I have the black gamecube with 1 controller, 1 memory card and 5 games i'm trying to sell but i'm having a tough time. I think its due to cause I don't have the warranty.

Do you think $50 is about right?

Well for yours no. I would say for your around $80 but it depends on how much is left on the warranty. Mine might go for $50 maybe $60 cause I have more games and memory card but in my opinion the warranty tops that but other people feel different.

I am going to try and sell this GameCube here one more time. I know I could sell it on eBay for more but I am really tired of dealing with the hassles that always seem to go along with eBay auctions. On the other hand, every deal I have made on Mac Rumors has been a pleasant one.

My price is now $40 shipped and that price is firm. It is not worth it to me to sell it for anything less than that.
