View Full Version : Who's your favourite game character?

For me, its Sonic. I mean come on, a cool blue hedgehog who can run stupendously fast!!

Anyone else? Mario, Gordon Freeman, the dude from Halo, Doom Guy? It doesn't have to be the lead character of a game, just *any* character and it doesn't have to be for good games or not. :)

Does anyone remember Bubsy on SNES? I always thought he was pretty cool for some reason.

I remember him. It's too bad those games were so awful.

I have to go with Pac-Man for my favorite character. Top 5 would probably include Earthworm Jim, Dirk the Daring (Dragon's Lair), Ulala (Space Channel 5), Mega Man, and about 20 tied for 5th place :)

However if you are saying just any character in general, that's much tougher to choose from. I can think of a ton of games with cool boss characters I could choose.

Bren McGuire. Look at that chin. Super retro 90's germans imitating the anime style! booyah! Better than Samus? Potentially! The games are virtually the same (Metroid - open, Turrican - linear.)

Shame the new Sonic game is apparantly awful :(

Some of it looks simply hilarious. Whoevers idea it was for Sonic to have a love interest - a human love interest at that - does not deserve to have the brain he/she quite obviously rarely uses.

FleurDuMal, you're right about the Sonic game. All of the post Genesis/Mega Drive games have been turd. The character's still the coolest though!!

gordon freeman. the games are cool, but its mainly cos i llook like him with long jim morrison style hair...... which then again makes me look nothin like him.

Hmm..it's pretty hard to decide.

Walton Simons from Deus Ex and Setzer from Final Fantasy 6 are probably my two favourites.

I've got to add one. Indiana Jones. Probably the coolest character out of any fictional thing ever. I'm playing Fate of Atlantis talkie right now!! :D

Yeah I was. I stopped when I landed on the submarine to get some sleep. I'm looking forward to the new fan made Indy adventure game. Its probably the game I'm looking forward to and waiting for the most, over any Wii game or anything else modern!

Yeah, that game was so hypnotically entrancing. I really loved every moment of it. It really felt like you were riding on top of a dragon with the wind whipping through your hair... and when Azel and the hero couldn't find each other at the end, I think I cried. :o

Quite. Four CDs, 15 hours. Probably one of the most solid RPGs I've ever played. Very little filler.

Proof if there ever was that a 60-100 hour RPG is not a necessity in providing us with a great RPG experience.
