I guess I admire the balls these people have to spend $3,000 on a computer only to quickly void the warranty....

Agreed.... he has a pair of them alright... The site is good since it shows what he did, as well as valid benchmarks.

Wouldn't two 1/2" stainless ball berrings suspended in a dermal sac buffer static? Who needs a grounding strap when you have a grounded sack!!!!!:D :D

It's less likely to screw things up.
http://www.sonnettech.com/product/encore.html] They sell a dual too.

I hear ya... I was looking for a hack. You know...something that will surely screw up my machine if it doesn't work.

Didn't that generation G4 use jumpers to set the system bus speed factor?? Check the mobo for a block with a warning sticker on it. Then go to xlr8yourmac and check for different jumper configs for it. You might have to go to a local computer store and get some jumpers. I would bring the block with you so that you can get the correct size (nothing worse then wasted trips when brining one small item would have prevented it).
Then start playing :D

If you never wanna use it again.............try flipping the switch on the power supply to 220 and plugging it into your dryer outlet. It should run at 700 for about 2 seconds.:D :D

Nice...
I might have to save up for the sonnet solution...it looks easy and worthwhile for $300

Check it out... Instructions for the YIKES!! G4 overclock. http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/G4ZONE/G4YIKESOC/
If it works, you could eek a little more speed out of the computer. Just take it in small steps... don't go full bore on the first try.
I would suggest lifting the sticker carefully, just in case you need to put it back down as it originally was. If you do that, who's to say you overclocked it??? :D.
If the system is out of warranty... then what do you really have to loose, besides the mobo???
