So I'm going in for surgery on Friday, and while (for once) it's nothing serious, it's going to leave me feeling sorry for myself for a few days in bed. I haven't played a real game in a long time, and was thinking of buying one to help pass the time (I've read enough books in school this semester). Can anyone recommend a good game for a stock 2.16 CD MBP? My past purchases have been: Warcraft III (+ expansion), Civ 3, and Rise of Nations. Solid single player is a must since I don't have wireless at home, and FPS games have never been a strength for me. Any suggestions? (Also, it may be possible for me to get XP on here, but I'd prefer a Mac platform). I've considered Civ 4, but am leery of it since I heard it's a resource hog on the Mac platform. :p
Thanks!

As RTS's go, C&C Generals is pretty good...I would have recommended COD2 but you don't like FPS - probably a good thing, it takes up sooo much homework-doing time...

I'm probably late with this response, but Civ IV runs awesome on my MBP and is wicked fun.
