Hey everyone. I am most likely going to purchase a 20 GB PS3. mt question is, why would anyone need a 60 GB? All I need is for save games and online profiles and stuff. Will a 20 GB suit my needs? I don't want to put music on it or videos or photos. I just wanna use it as a gaming system.

Do you need WiFi, or will it always be close enough to a router or modem?

Dude of course it will omg you use 20gb of music??? you even have 20gb??? most i had was like 6 so that means 14 gigs left of space i can use like 10 gigs to test out linux and still have enough room for demos and game saves....
(i'll buy the 60gig version though, cuz i wanna use it as my main linux system...)

Unless you need wifi then I'd go with the 20, you can replace the HDD with a bigger one and not even void the warranty.

do you have a PSP? if so the 60Gb is the best option because of the added media functionality it will offer and you need the Wifi for it :(

Is the hard drive easy to replace?

I have a 60 GB PS3 and i am less than impressed. Its the same PS2 thumb numbing games with more sharpness. The Wii imo is innovative, it keeps me playing. Ill be selling my PS3 and all accessories and games to my cousin who wants one for some odd reason.

Wow thanks for all of the replys! Sounds like I'll get the 20 GB one. By the way what is the differance in size with the wifi and the 20 gb ps3?

The 20 gb is fine if you dont care about the media stuff or wifi. I got one last week. Now I just gotta find another 100$ and swap a 160-250gig hd in there :) That is until I get an adapter to plug it in my ACD or another display.

The 60 gig also has slots for media cards (SD, MS etc), and "silver accents". Oooh aahhhh
I remember originally the 20 gig wouldn't have HDMI but they (rightly) changed their minds and implemented it in both models
Other than HD size, media cards, and WiFi, I think those are the only differences. Oh, and the "silver accents". (ie a silver faceplate around the optical drive, big whoop)
