so i put the disc in and i have the code ready. but rather strangely when i open the folder named adobe photoshop cs. there is no folder or icon saying install. only an install log txt, that's just lines and lines. so i just click the icon that says adobe photoshop cs and the program loads, then a box appears that reads 'one or more files in the adobe application support folder, necessary for running photoshop are missing, please run the photoshop installer and re-install photoshop.' i click ok, and then photosphop runs seemingly without problem. there is something suspicious though as i havent installed it. can anybody help me?

Yeah, sounds like a bad copy and I agree it's probably a pirate copy.

yes, it is a pirate copy off a friend. did you see how much it is to buy this program, like £150! I dont think i can afford that, as i am an illustration student. So, what do i do? use the odd pirate program and hope that everything runs smoothly (unlikely) or get another copy (off someone else) or beg my mum to pay for the real thing. (also unlikely).

Read the forum rules. Assistance to those pirating software is not permitted here. Expect this thread to be eventually wastelanded... you're on own with this.

You use Gimp for free and save your pennies. Inability to afford software does not make piracy right. It's piracy that forces up the price of software.

We can't offer any assistance to someone trying to pirate or to use pirated software.
