Hey,

I'm wondering if there is ANY difference in playing games like Wow between a 64mb GMA 950, and an 128mb GMA 950. I dont want to know which one is better, just is there a HUGE difference. Also would the new 2.0.1 patch make WoW playable (30fps no less) on them? And would it help alot if added 1G or 2G's?

Thanks

some replies would be nice... and also would it help alot if it had 1G of RAM added so that the vid card has 512mb for itself?

Well it's a little confusing your question.

1) if your talking about a current mac using GMA950 then you dont get a choice of ram as OSX has artifically limited the amount of ram the GMA950 can use so it will never get to 128mb anyway.

2) Only way GMA950 on a mac will use more memory is if your running it through widows, in which case it will use upto 226mb or there abouts, again you wont get to choose how much memory as its automatically dynamically adjusted, so again your initial question is all the more confusing.

3) Even if we were talking mac version against pc version of games, then pretty much any game on windows runs better than its mac equivalent, so that pretty much ends the discussion too.

More memory for the GPU is always better than less period.

Search for the latest WoW patch. It's so good I've deleted my XP install. :D
