I'm in the process of saving up some money towards replacing my G4 Mini with an Intel Mini. My plan is to sell the G4 a few days prior to getting the Intel, and use the money towards the cost of the Intel.

So, I'm wondering how much I can probably get for a 1.25Ghz PowerPC G4 Mini, with 1GB RAM, a combo drive, and no Bluetooth or wireless? All discs would be included, and I've still got the original box!

I got the system without any upgrades at the time to keep the price as low as possible. The only thing I've upgraded myself is the memory. It works perfectly, and has no problems (I'm making this post with it). My primary reason for wanting to swap it out with an Intel Mini, is because it's not compatible with my LCD monitor over DVI (A known issue with the G4 Minis (http://www.freewebs.com/themagius/macintoshmini.htm)). Supposedly the Intels don't have this problem.

If anyone is particularly interested in buying my Mini, I'm waiting until after Macworld (Jan. 12th) before selling it.

How big is the HD. I picked one up 3 weeks back. Same speed but 512MB memory and 80gig HE with built in wireless along with an LCD for $295 shipped. Granted that was a fantastic deal I would guess you may get about $250 -$275 depending on you HD and cosmetic condition.

heh... i sold my mini to badabing! i would say you could get around 200 for the mini because it doesn't have wireless or bluetooth. mine didn't have BT but i did include a keyboard and monitor. maybe you'll get lucky, though, and someone who doesn't need either wireless or BT will find you

Cool, thanks for all of the replies!

I've already got 1 other offer, but if that falls through I'll check with weazbert, then I'll post a proper "For Sale" thread here after Macworld.

If the others fall through, post MacWorld, let me know - I might be interested in it then, depending on whether the iTV comes out and if they bring the iTunes television store to Canada.

just so you know the macworld starts on the 9th with jobs's keynote. Generally all new products will be released than so if they dont upgrade the mini than, or if they do they wont be doing anything until at least after the 15th. As for the mini id guess you could get $250 ish for it.

Try your local craigslist you may get a better price from a Mac novice. I did for my ibook G4 1Ghz. Got $600 for it.
