View Full Version : WTB/Feeler: Mac mini *and* a MacBook

I'm planning on buying both of these refurbished, but I thought I'd see if I can find anything interesting on here. These are both new items, so my chances are low. Ehh, it's worth a shot.

Mac mini: It's going to be a media center, so I'd prefer Intel because of the remote control & Front Row. PPC w/ 3rd-party remote should be fine. Not really worried about other considerations (so long as it WORKS).

MacBook: Prefer Core Duo so that I can afford it. 1-2GB RAM would be a plus. Other considerations don't matter.

Anyone? :)

You might be interested in checking out the Apple Refurb. store. They have some great prices especially on the MacBooks. 'Core Duo for $799. & as anyone will tell you Apple Refurbs are like buying the thing new.

Yeah, I've already checked them out. I'm actually planning on buying both of these refurbished, like I said, but buying an MB and a Mm is kinda tight ($100 tax right there), so I was hoping for a sweet deal.

That's exactly what I want, but I doubt I could pay what you'd like. I can't afford to pay for AppleCare at this point in time, and I definitely can't afford a display :( (The mini's supposed to be a media center)

I don't think I could pay more than $600 shipped, which is less than what your rig is worth, even if AppleCare weren't included.

Looking for a 17" LCD? I may be selling mine in the near future. Samsung 172x.

I was actually more interested in the package, but I really shouldn't be spending anymore money until my tax return comes and Macworld unveils its treasures. :(

For the Mac mini or the Mac mini and display? I really have no need for the display, so if that drops the price any I'd be a happy little man.

1.83 Core Duo
512 RAM
80GB HD
Combo Drive
Blue incase sleeve
Applecare (not on my Mac right now, so I can't pull the actual days, but it was purchased August 19-ish, so you have almost 3 years).

Been out of the loop too long, no idea what it's worth.
