So how much have you accomplished in Wii Sports?
Have you gone Pro?
What is your age as of now?
Have you found any easter eggs?
And what are your goals?
To start the thread, I have Pro status on Tennis and Bowling. Boxing is around 850 points, Baseball is ~450, Golf is ~350.
Currently my age is 38, I was a youthful 30 yesterday.
I have found if you hold 2 before a tennis game starts up, the court will be blue. Also under-handed throws can be acheived while pressing "2" on the Wiimote for Baseball.
And I have yet to get my bowling ball to hit the pins in the other lane. Has any else done this?

Thanks for the underarm pitching and blue tennis court tips. Didn't realise there were easter eggs in the game!
Pro only in bowling so far, need to spend more time on the other sports.
Fitness Age 22.
Managed to get a Platinum medal in Homerun training – it took 10 homeruns out of 10, 4 of them being hit out of the park.
Loving wii sports! My goals are to become pro in all sports, and get platinum medals in all training... could be some time

Ditto.
I'm 30 right now after 61 (:o ), 28 and 34. I haven't gone pro in anything yet, but it'll probably be bowling and tennis before anything else, as they are played more often than the other sports - but still far less than Zelda.

91 pin strike in training:

easter egg in bowling:
if you do the chicken dance, holding the wiimote in your right hand before you bowl then you'll get a turkey. (your next three rolls will be strikes)

I know this is off topic but I can't help resist giving a nod of my head to a fellow Zane in the world. Not so many of us out there.
Well...if that is your real name anyway.

You need your remote in your right hand, both hands by your side with arms bent and elbows flapping. :)
It really works. honest.

I for some reason feel like the chicken dance thing is making fun of my above quote... but I'm telling the truth. For the 91 pin strike in the training exercise you have to roll the ball on the bumper all the way down. If the ball stays up until the end it creates an earthquake type event that knocks all the pins down. Maybe you aren't making fun though and you already know this. oh well.

5000?? that would take ages cos you only get bwt 30 points for beating the top levels players in straight sets once ur past 1500 so that would take absolutely ages!! Im up for it though inbetween university revision :P

My 300 was achieved before getting Pro status (I'm lucky if I get a double while Pro). I just swung the Wiimote in a circular swinging motion until my fingertips stung, no special technique really . I'll try and get a screenshot as it displays the best scores for each Mii.
And all my bonus was getting Pro status (d'oh). Nothing else.

I think we should have a contest first to get to 5000 in any sport. At any time on the way to 5000 you are the closest then you get bragging rights but the first person to actually reach 5000 is aloud to say they are the best on macrumors.
The contest starts now tell me if your in.

Have I somehow messed the options up... I get points in the bowling multiplayer, but in Tennis and other games I get no points! Do you earn points through the training mode in them games?

AFAIK the points system works when you play bowling multiplayer but not for tennis multiplayer..
I dont think there is an option to change that..
but yes, it is strange as to why bowling is theonly affected sport points wise for multiplayer!! i can no longer mess around as i will lose too many pouints and be demoted to a "regular" (ie, non pro) player!! lol..

Maybe golf too, I don't know. But bowling and golf are the only 2 sports which you don't have to face off against one another. One person's play doesn't affect the outcome of another person's play in those sports. It makes sense to me, it should be this way. Yeah bowling and golf have the competition aspect, but you're also competing against yourself by trying to beat your personal best. Tennis, golf and boxing don't have that explicit drive to beat old personal records as much as they do to beat the other person/people. That's why you wouldn't gain or lose experience points by playing someone of a higher or lower standing than your own.

My events were:
1) Skill Bowling - the one with the obstacles in the way - only got to level 10 (best is level 16)
2) Power Bowling - knock down all the pins.. got my highest score of 601!! including the 91 pin x2 strike
3) Return Tennis balls - just return the balls into the court - I missed 2
I thought I wouldn't get 20 with that performance, but I was well pleased.. my mission is now complete :D lol!!

Thats exactly why!! I Do think though if the other person your playing in tennis, boxing or baseball has really high pro status liek 1500 say that you shoudl get some points for beating them if you did because its still an achievement?
I got fitness age of 20 twice allready and with two different mii's I think its just a case of getting a score in each event thats worthy of silver and maybe one gold.

I don't think the training events have anything to do with your fitness age outside of being the same events that determine the fitness age. The training is there as a practice mode for the fitness age. Since you can only do the fitness age once a day, the training allows you to work on your skills and improve your fitness score.

I would like to report that, the other day, I bowled my best ever game, a 279. I ended with 10 straight strikes.

Jan 16, 2007, 10:38 AM
Tennis: Pro - 2105 pts
Boxing: Pro - 1720 pts
Baseball: Pro - 1438 pts
Bowling: Pro - 1114 pts (246 best game)
Golf: N/A
I love playing golf in real life and in video games, but I just don't care for this golf game. Everything else is fairly realistic, but this one is very lacking I think. I dabble in it every now and then, but the putting just drives me crazy!
I've achieved gold on nearly all the training, and platinum on the Homerun Derby and the first Tennis training.
Oh, and hitting 2 in baseball while pitching doesn't do "underarm", it's "sidearm". Underarm is like in softball. :p
EDIT: Oh yeah, my Wii Fitness Age is currently at 25, although I haven't done it for a while... too much Zelda. ;)

Yeah, about the medals, does anyone know what the minimum scores are for each of the medals? I'd assume that gold is given for around a 90% performance and platinum at 100%.
Also, as a side note, has anyone ever accidentally thrown the ball backwards in bowling (ie: let go of B on the way back). Someone accidentally did that the other day and the ball flew backwards. All of the Mii's were back there watching and they jumped in surprise. It was rather comical to see.

Ha ha! Yeah, I've done that a few times, it's pretty funny. :)

Most (or all?) of the medals are based upon reaching a certain amount of points, what those points are based on I'm not sure.

Thanks, aparently GameFAQ's doesn't like hotlinking to files.
Maybe this link will work: link (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/game/933010.html).
Then go to the Training Mode FAQ.
