possible to transfer videos to a 360 hard drive?

i am ridiculously confused? It was mentioned on here before that it could only play wma, so i downloaded some wma stuff mainly trailors, but the mac mini doesn't to amazing with them, so is there a way to get them on permenetly to the 360? some ppl on here said that a usb drive would work? please do not suggest connect360 as I have it and it doesn't work, for some reasons it won't work while im sharing internet, it did before though. :(
Anyway are there any solutions, data cd, dvd, hard drive, usb drive???
