downloading music programs

yeah i know this is a cliche top. but i need a list of good download programs for the mac. or shall i say i need the best one... the one that most people use... so the pool of songs is bigger then the other ones. which one is it? i have limewire. are there any others that are better... you know where i would have more of a chance of finding a song? please indicate the program and the link to download it.

we have had a flurry of discussion about this in the past. I suggest you search the board for file sharing programs. Its much faster than waiting for a reponse and the response are almost always the same. bottom line: non-existent but its fun to try. If you need something either buy it or find a Pc with broadband and kazaa.

Uummm... iTunes 4's Music Store is great, 99 cents a song $9.99 an album, you can't beat the quality and file sharing programs is stealing. just my two cents...:D

You could try Direct Connect for Mac OSX but depending on how much you are sharing will dictate what hubs you are permitted into.

kazaa lite on vpc works alright for getting tv shows and whatnot. i'd imagine it's good for songs aussi... assuming you have vpc.

I would have to say LimeWire is best for mac (if you don't have VPC and can't use PC P2P).

There are others that are close, and some that I think are close to being as good as LW, but LW is still ahead of them... for now.
