I'm getting a replacement from Apple, so this will be new in sealed retail box.
Anyone want to save a little cash, let me know. I'll be getting it middle of next week.
Edit: Would come with Incase Neoprene sleeve and iSkin keyboard protector.
Edit #2: Would maybe consider a trade for a Macbook Pro Model. Would have to be "as new" or "new". Cash could be a consideration.

Sorry, if I sell it it will be because I'm going back to Thinkpads.

First, I apologize if we are thread crapping.
Thinkpads are pretty nice. The X60 weighs approx. 2.69 lbs but granted I tried configuring a Thinkpad X60 to a 2.0Ghz, 2GB Ram, 80GB HD, DL DVD+/- and it came out to near $2,000 even with the student discount and this isn't with the 2.0 C2D either. Ouch.
They are also built very tough and retain their value fairly well but you pay a premium for a nice X60 configured like the 2.0 C2D MB.

Sorry for thread crapping. I would also like to add that my dad uses IBM's and swears by them so they must be good.

It would be a brand new retail boxed computer. So I'm assuming 1 year from when your register it. It's right off the line.

Oh, this would also include an incase neoprene sleeve and iSkin keyboard protector.

Actually I think this is a macbook not a macbook pro.

I corrected him via PM already, but thank you for clarifying for others. This is a 13.3" Macbook, not a MBP.

Ryan,
What do you want for your MB? I'm getting my scholarship money next Monday (the 8th) and I've been thinking about getting a MB or MBP.
The Apple Education discount (accessing it from home) puts your MB at $1199... but I've heard rumors that if I access the Apple Education site from my school's server, I'd save some more. I haven't tried it yet.
I would be interested in saving some $$.

I was hoping for $1200 or so shipped including the sleeve + iSkin keyboard cover. Even if you do have access to the education site, that still saves you $60-$100 in tax, plus $50 worth of accessories.
Let me know if you might be interested.

Oh, and despite what I said earlier, I *may* consider a Macbook Pro if it's in "as new" condition with original box/accessories/warranty. Cash could be used if warranted.

Thank you, I was fairly certain this wasn't the case unless the school absorbs some of the cost.

Thanks for me too. I actually read that rumor on the board here and thought it sounded fishy... but heck, you never know these days.
