Next week, I'll be visiting the Apple Company Store in Cupertino. It has T-Shirts, pens, and all other kinds of gift shop type products not available anywhere else. If anyone would like any unique products from the store, send me a PM with details.

I'll charge an extra 50% on top of the purchase price of the item, plus the cost of shipping. I'll let you choose whatever shipping method you want, so long as you're in the United States. I don't want to deal with international shipping (unless you make me an extraordinarily great offer). I'll accept payment via PayPal.

^^THIS PRICING SCHEME NO LONGER APPLIES. SEE POST BELOW^^

Info on the Company Store: http://www.apple.com/companystore/

EDIT: Updated pricing, much better for the buyer. See post below. First post maintained so replies make sense.

Boo.
That made me laugh out loud and I woke my girlfriend up. Thanks a lot! ;)

I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to be rude, but since the ice is broken... well, what I have to say has already been said.

i think you can actually call the store and have it ship whatever you want to you. at least that's what i've heard.

i, however, went to san francisco three weeks ago and happened to visit apple hq twice in four days.

:D . I thought this forum was suppose to aid others

So if I wanted an Apple polo that's $25, 50% would be $12.50 and USPS Priority would be $5. Not sure if OP will charge tax but that comes out to $42.50 (without tax) for an Apple polo  .

Or, $25 for the polo, plus $310 for a roundtrip flight from Jacksonville, FL, plus $100 for a night in a hotel.

I'll get you a shirt that can't be had anywhere else. For you to do it it would be a $435 polo shirt.

However, in the interest of the MacRumors communitas and all that, I'm willing to take the advice of one of the other replies and only charge $5 per item on top of the purchase price and shipping.

Fair?

OP has already changed his price under pressure - back off. And to the OP: consider editing your first post to reflect this change; a lot of people comment without reading the posts that were made before they got there.

I second the question about knowing what is there. I doubt I'll order anything as I'm in CA and I know people around there that can shop....and I like to shop. Anyway the first post sucks by way of pricing scheme, the second post of $5 on top of any order is a good one so good for you, third anyone thinking the individual will charge tax just to let you know you can't charge tax unless you're setup with the state to pay them the taxes in which you collect. Taxes aren't profit in other words. :)

Anyway, let us know what is there. If anything I'd be interested in a pen of sorts. I like office supplies.

I'll make two trips, and take pictures of interesting items to post here. What types of items are people interested in? I have one person interested in pens... What else should I look for?

umm....i agree with you i definately think that there should be some type of fee...but iThought my $5 added fee would be fair....either the people reading this havent read your change....or they want stuff for free....if they want stuff for what it cost from the store or below the price....eBay...hahahaha...ya right....

50% sounds high if you're talking about a $100 polo.. but 50% on a $5 key chain isn't bad.

Is there an online catalog of the merch?

Notice, the 50% scheme is OUT. It no longer applies. I am charging a flat $5 per item on top of the total purchase price of the item, plus shipping. This was suggested by another forum member, and I've adopted it.

There is no online catalog... The merch can only be found in Cupertino. It is even tough to find on eBay, although occasionally an item or two pops up.

This Flickr site has a few items you can see, but the actual store surely has many more. I'll take pictures of interesting items later today and post them.

there is absolutely no way in hell they will allow you to take photos inside the company store. i know this because i managed to line up a shot with my camera before i was instantly asked to stop by an employee last time i was there.

I dont know why everyone loves to thread crap in this forum.

I think what you are doing is awesome. I'll keep checking back for more pics and see if there is anything I would like to order from you while you're there.

Just got back from the store. I got pictures and prices of a lot of items. If a price has an asterisk (*) next to it, it was because I can't remember the exact price. I estimated high. If the price ends up being lower, I will adjust appropriately. The prices listed are also the prices paid in the Company Store. They DO NOT include shipping, tax, or the $5 per item I will be charging.

Polo (http://www.mediafire.com/?1nhyj0tloj2): $37
Denim Shirt (http://www.mediafire.com/?5nduizygidd): $40*

STOP THREAD CRAPPING. He is doing everyone a favor! YOU CAN NOT BUY THESE ITEMS ELSEWHERE. He is charging a measly $5 to do some extensive legwork. He already did more than $5 work in setting up this thread alone!

If $5 extra plus shipping is too much for you to pay then don't ask him to pick up anything for you...simple as that!

Also there is no need for the foul language...there is a mixed crowd in this community and that behavior is simply uncalled for. Take it somewhere else.

I agree... why must people make such stupid comments? If you are not interested in taking him up on his offer, then don't. No need for the thread crapping and foul language.

Nice way of putting it. Perhaps to make thread crappers happy the OP should go and buy the items with his own money and then sell them at a loss or maybe give them away for free. Actually someone would probably still complain about that.... It is also funny that first 50% was too much, then $5 was a great deal, now it is a bad deal. Anyways, PM sent to the OP about some items. Let me know.

Since you are offering to make further purchases, screensaver400, this no longer qualifies for our Marketplace, which is limited to one-time member-to-member sales of personally owned items (not items ordered, purchased, and then delivered). Although purchasers may appreciate your efforts, it doesn't match our intended use of the Marketplace.

To be fair to all members, we need to apply the rules consistently.

Those who are interested should PM you, and you can PM them back about further deals.

Edit: This thread has items for sale that do qualify for our Marketplace.
