I'm thinking about unloading a couple of my older Mac items, and was curious if my price range is about right, and if others might be interested in them.

i have:

G3 iBook: 14.1 inch/600 MHz/256 MB Ram/Combo/20 GB. It has 10.2 and the Microsoft suite (w/ discs) on it.

I was thinking this would go for like $300? Is that asking too much?

The other is my 1st generation 5GB iPod. I got it as a refirb, and it currently holds more than 5 hrs of charge. I have the original cords, and software with it, and an iTrip too. I was thinking about $80 for it?

I can post pictures if someone is interested.

Does the iBook have an Airport card?

And, I think that the iPod (presumably being well-used) would fetch less, around, oh, $50 or so.

that's the big downside to the laptop, no airport card.

I wouldn't expect more than $250 for your laptop. I just sold a G3 900Mhz with 640 RAM and airport installed for a little over $400.

It's all about luck on eBay, my friend. I just sold a 12" 700Mhz G3/640MB/20GB no airport for $335. Had original documentation, though, but not the box. Got lucky, I guess. I had even set a BIN of $350, and no one bit while that was up.

I'd say $300 isn't too much to ask, but set that as a BIN, and start bidding at $149, or $199 or so.
