I just recently got these in a trade from techound1. I'm probably going to keep them and install Linux for some unholy purpose (recipe server in the kitchen?), but I thought I'd check and see if anyone on here had some interesting offers.
Toshiba Portégé 3020CT
* Pentium 300MHz w/MMX (Tillamook Core, apparently)
* 32MB RAM
* 6.4GB HD
* 10.4" 800x600 Display
* NeoMagic 128XD Video Card w/ 2MB VRAM
* Yamaha OPL3-SAx
* 2 PCMCIA slots
* Toshiba Oboe(FIR/SIR) Infrared
* USB
* Modem
* Battery (working, unsure of capacity -- Li-Ion, I believe)
* A/C Adapter
* External Floppy Drive w/ Cable
* External Port expander (PS/2, VGA, Parallel, Serial)
* Outstandingly Tacky Stickers to Improve Your Computing Experience!
Notes:
* 1 External CD-ROM drive w/ cable and PCMCIA adapter
* Windows ME on one (no, really).
* No OS on other machine. I powered it up and it boots.
I might think of other important points later, and if anyone points out that I'm an idiot and forgot something obvious, I'll come back and edit this post.
I'll upload pictures in a sec and show them on here. These things are TINY! And thin, too. Pretty amazing. Won't run OS X, of course, but I ran Linux on a similarly-specced machine (333MHz, 32MB RAM, same graphics card) from 1999 to 2003 or so, and it wasn't bad. It'll also run Win98/ME, obviously. Not sure about Win2K without boosting the RAM.
