I'm thinking of getting rid of both my current Macs and getting a refurb MacBook Pro instead. I originally had the iMac but then brought the MacBook as well, and since then I hardly use my iMac, so I think a nice refurb MacBook Pro would solve everything.

How much do you think I'm looking at for these?

iMac 20"
2ghz Core Duo
250gb HDD
2gb Ram
Superdrive
256mb ATI
Mint Condition with box

White Macbook
1.83ghz Core Duo
1.25gb Ram
60gb HDD
Combo Drive

Any ideas?

I bought my 15" 1.8Ghz MBP from the uk refurb store in about July last year. It's absolutely superb with no problems. I've also previously purchased 2 iBooks, a nano and 30g iPod from the refurb store - all have been A1.

A little while ago I was looking to swap my MBP for a Macbook, I was craving the superportability. I'm glad now that I stuck with the MBP - it's a desktop replacement, and I think the 13"er would've been just too small...

This is my reason as well. I bought the MacBook to complement the iMac but since then I find myself never using the iMac except when I would like a bigger screen or more power, but its not that often. So I really think a MBP would do me fine.

Although the MacBook was a godsend of my recent state-side trip, fitted in the backpack like a charm!
